Lars is the Swedish guy in the band. In Sweden he spent his time, since picking up guitar at age 12, playing first rock (Elvis tunes), then fusion, then, reluctantly at first, jazz. Feeling perhaps a bit musically claustrophobic in his native land, Lars moved to New York and studied jazz at William Paterson College and City College, with instruction from Vic Juris, Joe Cohn, and Ron Carter. By this time, Lars had become quite a good player.
When Lars isn't practicing his JNS parts furiously, he's working on his own rock project, the Gelatin Boys. These boys are a neo-punk-garage-grunge-psychadelic band who, among other things, do a great hard-core version of "My Girl."
